Lake Superior Agawa Bay

I arrived at Agawa Bay Provincial Park on Lake Superior around dinner and found my way to the beach to check out the view. While taking pictures on the beach that evening I got invited to join a group of young folks for a beer! I couldn’t say no, it just wouldn’t be polite. We had a fun evening chatting about philosophy and our travel adventures! Thanks for the great evening Jessica, Andrea, Pat and Michael!

Friday evening turned out to be just as lovely with the neighbour in the campsite across from me. I think he felt sorry for me, as he could see that the mosquitos, blackflies and every other biting bug there is was having ME for dinner. Beach side was definitely the way to go! I guess a little wind helps keeps the bug away. The beach side was also perfect viewing for spectacular sunsets. I moved to the beach side for my last day - totally worth the $3.65! I only wish they would have had a spot sooner!!!

My last sunset on Lake Superior was like the first a giant ball of fire that looks like it falls off the earth. Each night was as brilliant as the next. The world just feels right when you sit by a lake watching one of the best light shows on the planet. The only rival is the billions of stars that fill the night sky!

The geography of Lake Superior is stunningly rugged and feels prehistoric! Photos don’t do it justice but here’s a few that were the highlights for me.

Going, Going, Gone!
